Robert Maloney founded R.E. Maloney Associates, Ltd. in 1982 to provide Fee-Only personal financial planning services. Led by the needs of his clients, he developed the firm's expertise in comprehensive planning. His client base includes women, retiring and retired couples, and owners of closely held businesses. They look to R.E. Maloney Associates to help articulate personal goals and develop comprehensive planning strategies for achieving those goals.

Bob has served as Chairman, President and Director of the Connecticut Estate and Tax Planning Council, President and Director of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the International Association of Financial Planners (IAFP) and is currently a member of the New Hampshire Estate Planning Council. He is also an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA); he served three years as President and Director of the Northeast Mid-Atlantic Region of NAPFA. Bob is currently heading a committee to develop NAPFA University for the continuing education of planners/advisors.

In the fourteen years prior to founding his own business, Bob was associated with trust departments where he administered estates, trusts and developed new business. Bob's undergraduate studies were at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. He was awarded the Master of Science Degree in Financial Services (MSFS) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Financial writers have sought Bob's expertise in areas of personal finance. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Investment Advisor, Medical Economics, Physicians Personal Advisory and Money magazine; Bob has also been featured in Financial Planner magazine for his work as a financial advisor to women.

In addition, Bob has been recognized as one of the best financial advisors in the country by Money and Worth magazine. Medical Economics also recognized Bob as one of the best financial planners in the country for doctors. Bob has also been a participant for a number of years in the "Who can make the best Apple Pie Contest" in Holderness, New Hampshire.

Bob recently stepped down as Chairman of the Foundation of "Hospice of the Chesapeake" and became a Board Member of the Squam Lakes Chamber of Commerce.
